Shalom. My name is Sherri Morris and I am the Director of Congregational Learning at Congregation Beth El. I am very excited to be an integral part of this program, which includes Beth El’s Jewish Learning Center and the implementation of educational programming that responds to the needs of our youth, families and learners of all ages and backgrounds.

As a caring, compassionate Jewish educator who inspires learners of all ages to discover their Jewish paths, I lead and teach by personal example pursuing life long learning through spiritual and intellectual growth. My mantra is, “If you learn something new it is a good day”. I am passionate about helping each person discover the unique qualities within their soul that allow them to express their Judaism in new and exciting ways. I am eager to develop and cultivate personal meanings and connections to Judaism with my learners as they explore these new possibilities. All of this growth, while individually based, is best done within a supportive and respectful environment as we advance together as an integrated and vibrant Jewish community.

I received my Masters in Jewish Education at the William Davidson School of Jewish Education of the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. My prior experience included teaching B'nai Mitzvah, teaching religious school and administering a Hebrew high school. In my previous life, I was a partner in a family run CPA firm in Scotch Plains, NJ.
