A warm and caring environment for
young children for over 35 years!

About Our Preschool
Led by Director Sandy Sachs, the Thelma K. Reisman Preschool offers a wide range of activities and experiences for children to be nurtured physically, academically, socially and Jewishly. We offer one of the area's most complete, yet flexible programs of preschool education and enrichment for children ages eighteen months to five years old.

Our Jewishness is integrated into the program by exposing children to Jewish culture and traditions. All students participate at age appropriate levels. We are an integral part of the Beth El community -- children of all faiths and levels of observance are welcome.

Our Preschool Environment
For over 35 years, our mission has remained the same, to provide a warm and nurturing Jewish environment for young children. Our indoor and new outdoor facilities were planned with the needs of young children in mind. Our large, sunny rooms offer many opportunities for imaginative play, art activities, and quiet reading. Our newly equipped state-of-the-art outdoor playground equipment supports imaginative play and opportunities for physical exercise. When the weather keeps us indoors, our newly renovated play space, provides the perfect space for gross motor activities, including tumbling and kid's yoga.

The Thelma K. Reisman Preschool has its very own library, from which teachers borrow books for classroom use and parents may borrow books to take home.

Our Preschool Staff
Our experienced, highly qualified teaching staff and assistants provide the most innovative instruction for our preschoolers. Each class is led by one teacher and one teaching assistant. Our teachers value the whole child -- their physical and cognitive growth as well as their feelings, social and character development.

Sandy Sachs, our director since 2002, is one of the areas most highly-regarded educators and has taught elementary and preschool children for more than 20 years. Previously, she was an assistant director of the JCC Metrowest's Early Childhood Department and directed the Early Childhood Program at the JCC in Whippany, NJ.
